RAJ PATH AND INDIA GATE

A famous spot in the Delhi tour package itinerary is the Raj path, which means “the king’s way.” It starts from the Rastrapati Bhavan (the President’s house) to India Gate. Both sides of Raj Path feature huge lawns. Every year on 26 January, the Republic Day Parade takes place here.
A memorial is constructed for Indian soldiers who died in World War 1 and during the Afghan wars called India Gate. It is an important tourist attraction. In 1936 during the British Raj, it was ordered to create a garden and Lady Willingdon, wife of the Governor General of India, Marquess of Willingdon landscaped this garden. It was inaugurated on 09 April 1936 and named ‘Lady Willingdon Park.’ After independence, it was renamed Lodhi Gardens.

RED FORT
